Twenty nine. *sits back and watches the number again*
Okay so there is no denying it. Especially on a birthday night. What? You may now ask.
That thirty is the new twenty! Obviously. Or so we would like to believe. From now on. Period.
What did I do today? Yes you can ask this as well. I took a very well earned (some of my friends would literally beg to disagree on this) leave from work. I even put an out of office message out there for today. That is some seriously tricky stuff to pull off. I spent close to an hour to figure it out.
Moving on.
What else did I do today? Besides taking off from work.
I wrote a lot. I connected with twitter and blogs I like to read. I wrote more. I slept in the sun. I talked to my fishes. I watered my plants. I gazed at the roof every now and then. I smelled the roses. Ate chocolates. Like to no end.
And I thought. That is the one thing I miss the most ever since this ‘lets get all grown up and busy’ thing has come to pass in life.
What did I finally think?
That life is too short. Not the ideal thought on a birthday. But this went in constant loops.
Life is too short.
Life is too short to spend on a bad book.
Life is too short to wear clothes of someone else’s choice
Life is too short to keep only one hairstyle.
Life is too short to not wear shorts.
Life is too short to not bunk classes.
Life is too short to not travel.
Life is too short to group travel.
Life is too short to not write a book.
Life is too short to experiment with food. Period. I will have my spring rolls and chilly paneer. All the time.
Life is too short to not read.
Life is too short to not write.
Life is too short to not blog!
Life is too short to not tweet.
Life is too short to be on facebook all the time.
Life is too short to make pinterest work for you.
Life is too short to not try instagram.
Life is too short to not stare at that hot guy or girl. Married or not.
Life is too short to not look good.
Life is too short to always look good.
Life is too short to keep a handkerchief. Really.
Life is too short to not have superstitions.
Life is too short to not hate people.
Life is too short to not make people hate you.
Life is too short to not be ambitious.
Life is too short to not procrastinate.
Life is too short to not fall in truly madly deeply kind of love.
Life is too short to not fall all over again in truly madly deeply kind of love.
Life is too short to not love yourself.
Life is too short.
Yes go ahead and count them. They are exactly twenty nine. No no please do that. Cause I know you do not trust me. I also don’t trust you. But please kucch din toh bitaye blog pe (spend some extra time on my blog) and help increase its over all reader engagement time.
Go on. Count. One. Two. Three.
Anyways. Happy birthday to me!
Oops. It is already 12:01. Happy birthday ‘guy whose birthday falls on 30th October’.

Indeed life is too short to waste on anything other than what you want to do … And I’m trying to get out of that dinner date tonight as I type this (I know, I know I wrote a whole post about getting together face to face with near & dear ones but I need to like them too 😉 )
Oh and I didn’t count how many are there ‘coz I trust you, see 😀

How lovely Francene a wonderful thought you presented here 🙂
I much prefer inratmofive articles like this to that high brow literature.
Such a fantastic post and I am so tempted to write “Life is too short to” post. Totally loved it and kept nodding all along 🙂
Have a fab year girl and stay blessed!

Superior thinking detmtsoraned above. Thanks!
My favorite Fall ritual is the 500 mile + tandem recumbent bicycle tour that my Husband (& Prince!) Dean maps for our 3 week pedaling vacation from our 2 high stress jobs! This year I titled our getaway “2012 Vt’s Forever Cycling Duo Fly – By – The – Seat – Of – Your – Pants Tour” as we both edge ever closer to 60 years of age & 20 years of cycling together…
I simply can’t believe you forgot your camera!!! Still, it sounds fab. They didn’t happen to give you a little tiny LV freebie as well, did they??;)ps. you seem to have forgotten to tell us HOW you got invited …. come on, spill …. so that we’ll know what to do next year!
Richa, it’s such a cute and magical post. Birthday should be like that, living every single moment. Belated budday Richa:)
Thanks Vishal 🙂 Yes birthdays should be like that 🙂
Oooh! I just turned 29 in October and I was too lazy as usual to write a birthday post. I do pre-birthday posts actually, on the eve before my birthday. (You’ll find none on my blog because I had only written one and it got deleted.) Anyhow, it makes me happy to know that there is somebody in the same boat as me. Somebody who has at least taken time out to write a birthday post. Let’s grow old together!
What old? Lets just grow together 🙂 And belated happy 29 to you 🙂
Belated 29 to you too! By old I meant the physical self. Mentally, yes, let’s grow together 😀
That’s quite an interesting post for your birthday. We need to do things which we like rather than keep pleasing others all the time which so many of us end up doing for a variety of reasons.
Such a wonderful, positive and full of life post!
I sat reading it with a huge smile on my face!
Have a brilliant year ahead girl!
he he Sayonara. I won’t count, purposely! ^_^
100% agree with you. Almost all of my websites are using wp. One major factor that I like about wp is the numbers of plugin avlilabae. The plugins enable us to customize our sites to our heart desire.
Nice post information thanks for sharing this
The Nandina is sweet! And a close-up of the Fuchsia would surely win a prize–they are so incredible! I can’t believe they actually grow in the natural world! I tend to pick plants more toward the magenta, burgundy, maroon reds because they look better near my gray/blue house. But I love bright red flowers! Your photos are great!
Let me challange your thinking (never having been fundamentalist myself):Is it really important for your relationship to God, in what way hell and/or punishment exists? Evil exists, yes, I guess this is very crucial, and it is not good. But beyond that?As far as it doesn’t concern you personally (and you are saved anyway being a believer), how do other people’s relation to God concern you?
